Dr. Li Jing, L.Ac., MD(China), Ph.D

Dr. Li Jing, L.Ac., MD(China), Ph.D  graduated from Shanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine with an Integrated Chinese and Western Medical Doctor degree. She was a licensed Integrative Chinese and Western Medicine physician in China.

Dr. Jing received her Master of Chinese Herbal Medicine from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and got her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Peking University which is the top one medical university in China.

Dr. Jing worked as a postdoctoral researcher in National Institutes of Health where she deciphered the mechanism of drug addiction, pain and anxiety. Dr. Jing utilized optogenetics and chemogenetic approaches to manipulate the specific neurons and pathways that govern rewards, addiction, pain, anxiety and depression. She also investigated the therapeutic effects of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in cocaine addiction by stimulating addiction related regions in the brain or acupuncture points. This research experience inspired her to pursue her career in acupuncture.

Dr. Jing went to China to study with Zhao Li-Xin who is the Shanxi Famous Acupuncturist, and Wu Lian-Zhong, who is the Great Master of TCM, at Guo Yi Tang in the first Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine where the story of "9000 needles" happened. In the US, Dr. Jing was trained by pre-owner Dr. Jin Lee. Now Dr. Jing combines her knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine with her expertise in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and Japanese Kiiko Style Acupuncture to guide her patients toward healthier and happier lifestyles.

Dr. Jing practices Acupuncture, Herbology, Tui-Na, Cupping, Moxibustion, Acupressure and other methodologies to treat acute and chronic pain conditions, headaches, stroke, stress/anxiety and other internal/external diseases for which patients often couldn't find cure or relieve elsewhere.

She has authored more than twenty peer reviewed scientific articles in the prestigious national and international journals in the fields of Chinese medicine and neuroscience.

Dr. Jing is a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed to practice acupuncture and herbs in New Jersey.
